Vintage Whimsy was born from a lifelong love of jewelry, colorful stones, and the stories that make each piece meaningful.

As a little girl, I was always drawn to the beautifully colored rocks displayed in stores—the ones I now recognize as gemstones. I loved their colors, textures, and the feeling that each one held something special. That fascination never went away. Over time, it grew into a deeper appreciation for vintage jewelry, especially pieces with a history waiting to be uncovered.

While working at an auction house, I began to see a path toward creating a business of my own: finding beautiful and unusual jewelry, researching its origins, and discovering what makes each piece worth preserving.

That vision became Vintage Whimsy.

Vintage Whimsy is an online boutique specializing in distinctive vintage jewelry selected for its beauty, craftsmanship, personality, and history.

While makers, eras, and current trends are considered, my final decision is often more personal. A piece has to speak to me. It should feel special enough to treasure today, meaningful enough to pass down to another generation, and interesting enough to deserve having its story told.

Research is an important part of every collection. Depending on the piece, that may mean exploring the history of its maker, identifying its era and materials, learning about a gemstone’s traditional symbolism or metaphysical associations, or preserving the known story of the individual item.

My hope is that customers do not simply find something beautiful to wear. I want them to understand why it is special.
